Fernando creates many of the costumes and sculptures that appear in his videos. These images are from his short film, Majini. He was invited by friend and photographer, David Gulden, to work as an artist in residence at photographer Peter Beard‘s Hog Ranch in Kenya. The film and related artworks, constructed from bronze, glass, leather and hair, were premiered in a solo exhibition at Phillips de Pury & Company, New York.
In 2005, Majini won awards for Best Experimental at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
